Pool water features in Las Vegas

Moving water is the one element that works on sound as well as sight, which matters more than people think next to a road.

A scupper or a sheer descent does two jobs. It gives the eye something to settle on, and it puts enough sound into the yard to cover traffic and neighbors. On a lot near an arterial road, that second job is worth more than the first.

The failure mode is scale. A sheer descent that is too narrow reads mean. One that is too wide needs a pump that costs real money and a catch basin that has to be designed rather than assumed. And anything spilling from a height into a small pool moves enough water to cause splash-out, which you then top up all summer.

Deck transitions

The other half of this is where the water meets the deck. A vanishing edge, a raised wall with scuppers, a spa spillway: each changes the deck detail around it, and each has to be planned with the hardscape rather than added to it.

Retrofitting a water feature into a finished pool is possible and it is always more expensive than including it, because the plumbing has to come from somewhere.

What this covers

After the Build: Keeping It Running

Once a pool is built, it needs regular care to keep the water, surfaces and equipment in good shape. Our pool service covers weekly cleaning and equipment checks, with pool repair when something fails. The acid wash and leak detection services are there when they are needed.

Every part of the job, under one team

Scuppers and spouts

Set into a raised wall, sized and spaced so the arcs read deliberately rather than randomly.

Sheer descents

Wide, flat sheets that need the pump and the catch geometry designed rather than guessed.

Spa spillways

The most used water feature on most builds, because it runs whenever the spa does.

Vanishing and negative edges

A hydraulic problem before a visual one, needing surge capacity and a catch basin sized properly.

Deck and coping transitions

Where the feature meets the hardscape, detailed with the deck rather than after it.

Common questions

What homeowners ask us first

Can water features be added later?

Yes, and the plumbing is the expensive part. If there is any chance you want one, the time to run the line is at build.

Do they use a lot of water?

The feature itself recirculates. The real loss is splash-out and increased evaporation from moving water, which is not nothing in a Mojave summer.
