Filter service
Cartridge cleaning and replacement on the interval your filter and your water actually call for.
Pool Service / Equipment Service
The equipment pad runs most of the year in this climate. It wears at a rate that matches.
Equipment Service in the Las Vegas valleyA pool pump in Las Vegas runs more hours than the same pump almost anywhere else, because the water needs turning over more in the heat and the season barely ends. Everything on the pad wears on that schedule.
Service is the unglamorous work that keeps it from becoming replacement. Cartridges cleaned before pressure climbs far enough to load the pump. Salt cells inspected and cleaned of scale, which in this water happens faster than the manual assumes. Heater burners and heat exchangers checked. Bonding and electrical looked at, because a pad in the sun degrades wiring insulation.
If you are still running a single-speed pump, the electricity saving from variable speed here is real and usually pays the difference back inside two or three seasons, because of how many hours it runs. That is one of the few upgrades we will actively push.
Pressure across the filter is the single most useful number on the pad and almost nobody reads it. A clean filter has a baseline; eight to ten PSI above that baseline means it is loading the pump and starving flow to the heater. Owners notice when the pool stops looking clean, which is weeks later.
The other one is sound. A pump with a bearing starting to go announces itself long before it fails, and so does a heater short cycling. A technician who stands still on the pad for thirty seconds hears both.
Pool equipment has to be bonded, and the bonding lug on a pad that has been baking in Las Vegas sun for fifteen years corrodes. It is a safety item, it is invisible, and it is on our checklist because it is not on anyone else is.
What this covers
Cartridge cleaning and replacement on the interval your filter and your water actually call for.
Seals, baskets, lids and the pressure readings that say what is coming.
Burners, ignition and heat exchanger inspection, with flow checked as part of it.
Scale removed on the schedule this water needs, which is more often than the manual says.
Timers, controllers and valve actuators checked and reprogrammed for the season.
Common questions
Usually two to four times a season here, driven by pressure rather than by calendar. We read it on every service visit.
In this valley, for a pump running most of the year, yes. It is one of the few upgrades that pays for itself in a defined period.
