Who you are hiring

One company for the pool, the yard and the years after

The split between the pool builder and the landscaper is an accident of how this industry grew, and the homeowner pays for it every time.

The family behind Legendary Pools and Landscapes: two parents and their five children standing together on a pale desert flat.

A legacy built in backyards

For more than two decades, Legendary founder Miles Reynolds has worked in luxury backyards across Las Vegas and beyond, helping homeowners create outdoor spaces made for gathering, recreation and lasting memories.

While designing and building custom backyard courts for high-end homes, Miles Reynoldsworked alongside the region's best architects, landscapers, pool builders and outdoor living specialists. That gave him an unusual view of what makes a backyard project succeed, and of where so many of them fall apart.

Let us be honest: this industry is broken. Homeowners are left to sort through confusing, inconsistent pricing, poor communication and a revolving door of contractors with little accountability. Timelines drag, trades do not coordinate, and the bids are all over the place. What should be an exciting transformation turns into a stressful guessing game.

Legendary Pools & Landscapes was created to solve that. Instead of you managing multiple vendors, Legendary brings a carefully assembled backyard dream team together under one company. From concept to completion every element is coordinated, so the finished yard feels intentional, elevated and complete.

Why we do all three

A backyard gets designed, built and then lived with. In most of this valley those are three different companies. The designer hands over a drawing and leaves. The build crew interprets the gaps in somebody else's plan. The maintenance company inherits a yard nobody explained to them and slowly prunes it into a different shape than the one that was drawn.

We do the three stages because the feedback between them is the only way anyone learns whether the design was right. When a planting choice fails in its second summer, we are the ones standing in front of it.

How the three stages actually connect

The design stage is where the money is decided, not where it is spent. Where the pool sits, how much retaining the lot needs, which direction the shade structure faces and where the equipment lives are choices that cost nothing to make correctly on paper and a great deal to change once concrete is down. So we spend longer on the drawing than most outfits do, and we would rather lose a week there than a month on site.

The build stage is mostly sequencing. Sleeves and conduit before the deck. Structure before finish. Irrigation mainline before anything that would have to be cut to reach it. Almost every repair we are called out to on somebody else’s work is not a failure of materials, it is a failure of order.

The maintenance stage is where the design is tested. A planting plan is a prediction: the sun exposure, the mature size, the water each species actually needs in this valley. We find out whether the prediction was right because we are the ones back on the property a year later, and that is information a company that only builds and leaves never gets.

What we will always tell you

When a repair beats a replacement. When the budget does not cover the scope being described, at the first visit rather than after a design fee. When the thing you saw online does not survive here, and which part of it does. And when the job is not one we are the right team for.
